FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves firing of wet crushed plate veneer waste in vertical double-chamber furnace by means of introduction, drying and firing at least in one downtake horizontal swirl air flow in the first chamber 1 with further flow of burning particles to the second chamber 32 in once-through horizontal air flow final afterburning in the second chamber 32 in horizontal, rising and downtake circulating gas-air flows, intermediate extraction of unburnt gaseous products from the first chamber 1 to downtake circulating flow in the second chamber 32, removal of ash formed during combustion process in the furnace from flows and from combustion products removed from the furnace. Introduction of crushed wet plate veneer waste is performed in intermittent manner at equal time periods of supply and its cancellation of 0.5-4.0 sec. Residence time of crushed plate veneer waste in downtake horizontal swirl flow is limited to 0.1-2.5 sec, in outlet horizontal flow - 0.05-1.00 sec. Extraction of unburnt combustion products is performed in 0.2-1.0 sec after wet crushed plate veneer waste has been introduced to furnace. Furnace ash is removed from horizontal flow in the second chamber.

EFFECT: decreasing the output of nitrogen and benzpyrene oxides in combustion products at the furnace outlet.
