SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in boilers of thermal power plants when burning natural gas and coal dust. Vertical prismatic furnace comprises front, rear and side walls, ceiling and bottom covering, mounted on front wall in horizontal and vertical rows with separation of vertical plane of symmetry of furnace into two symmetric groups multifunctional burners with three vertical slotted nozzles with their own vertical mirror planes, respectively, for feeding coal dust-air mixture, gas-air mixture and secondary air, separated by partition wall, arranged to form a vertical row on each side wall of furnace and inclined to rear wall of additional vertical slot nozzles for supply of tertiary air, as well as windows for discharge of gaseous and solid combustion products, wherein each symmetric group consists of burners of two adjacent vertical rows, respectively adjacent to side walls and vertical plane of symmetry of furnace, vertical planes of symmetry of nozzles for supply of coal dust-air mixture of burners of vertical rows adjacent to side walls of furnace, are inclined to vertical plane of symmetry of furnace, in burners of vertical rows adjacent to side walls of furnace, secondary air supply nozzles are installed on side of side walls of furnace, gas-air mixture supply nozzles are arranged on side of vertical plane of symmetry of furnace, in burners of vertical rows adjacent to vertical plane of symmetry of furnace, secondary air supply nozzles are installed on side of plane of symmetry of furnace, gas-air mixture supply nozzles are arranged on side of side walls of furnace, nozzles for supply of coal dust-air mixture in all burners are installed in centre between nozzles for supply of secondary air and gas-air mixture. In each burner vertical planes of symmetry of nozzles for supply of secondary air and vertical planes of symmetry of nozzles for supply of gas-air mixture are inclined to vertical plane of symmetry of nozzles for supply of coal dust-air mixture at an angle of 3-12 degrees, inclination angle of vertical plane of symmetry of nozzles for supply of coal dust-air mixture in burners of vertical rows adjacent to side walls, to vertical plane of symmetry of furnace is 5-15 degrees, and angle of inclination of vertical plane of symmetry of nozzles for supply of tertiary air to rear wall of furnace is equal to 10-25 degrees, distance between said plane of symmetry at outlet of tertiary air supply nozzles and rear wall (0.10-0.25)C, where C is width of side wall, m.

EFFECT: invention reduces consumption of air on blowing slag from rear wall and concentration of nitrogen oxides in combustion products.
