MECHANICAL DRYING CONVEYOR PLANT FOR PYRITES AND PULVERISED COAL Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC F23K3/00

Abstract RU 2386080 C2

FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: conveyor plant consists of conveyor for safe transportation of pyrites, pulverised coal and other foreign materials (15) coming from mills for crushing of solid fossil fuel, which contains a set of storage tanks (2), one for each mill, closed or open metal container (1) inside which there located is high-heat-resistant metal belt conveyor (6) not allowing any flame propagation, and final outlet silo (16) which is differed by the fact that storage tanks (2), metal container (1) and final outlet silo (16) are equipped with system of fire detection sensors (19), which controls supply of inert gas through delivery nozzles (18) or water spraying nozzles (17) in accordance with the plant design. Transportation of mixture of pyrites (15) to final outlet silo (16) can be carried out solely by means of mechanical conveyor or by means of mechanical and pneumatic conveyor at removal of ferriferous material by means of ferrum removal system (25) and by decreasing the size by means of crushing system (26). Any fire extinction system can be provided with water spray nozzles activated by means of sensors (19) in case metal container (1) is interconnected with external environment, or with delivery water steam nozzles (18) in case metal container (1) is closed. Conveyor plant is provided with restricting side shields (23) for preventing dust dispersion to ambient environment throughout the length of the conveyor. Small particle return system (24) can be installed inside metal container (1) to support cleanliness of container (1) bottom from deposited material dust by transporting it to final outlet silo (16). Small particle return system (24) can be provided with water spray nozzles (17) activated by means of appropriate sensors (19) for extinguishing any pulverised coal fire.

EFFECT: invention allows transporting mixture of pyrites and pulverised coal owing to high-heat-resistant metal belt conveyor with minimum dust dispersion to environment.
