FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely psychophysiology. A straight horizontal line with a mark in the end of the line and a point object moving in the line which passes the way from the origin of the line to the mark for 1 sec are presented on a video monitor. At the moment the point object is expected to be matched with the mark, a person being tested shall press the Stop button to stop the point object. At the moment, the Stop button is pressed, a mismatch error of the point object and the mark is calculated that is a positive delay time error or a negative advance time error, and 1 sec later, the point object is restarted in the line. The described procedure is repeated for the preset number of times; the arithmetical mean delay error and the arithmetical mean advance error are calculated then to be compared to consider correlation of excitation and inhibition processes in the cerebral cortex.
EFFECT: technique allows reducing time for moving object response testing.
