DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR FUNCTIONAL CHANGES IN PATIENTS WITH CERVICAL DYSTONIA Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B8/13

Abstract RU 2386397 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurovisualisation methods, and is intended for detecting functional changes in the patients with cervical dystonia. The SPECT method is used to examine the cerebral perfusion in the patient Tc-99 m is introduced intravenously; the relative cortical perfusion (RCP) in various cortical regions of cerebral hemispheres in relation to a cerebellum as to a reference region is evaluated with using a semiquantitative method. Then the values in the right and left hemispheres are compared, the cerebral perfusion in basal ganglia and white matter are visually estimated and compared in the right and left hemispheres. The functional changes are stated in combination of decreasing RCP in frontal regions and parietal region of the right hemisphere in comparison with the other regions of cerebral cortex with the decreasing cerebral perfusion in the relevant basal ganglia and white matter in the right hemisphere in comparison with the left one.

EFFECT: technique allows improving accuracy for detecting functional changes in patients with cervical dystonia.
