METHOD OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTICS OF CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DISEASE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B6/00 G01T1/161 A61K103/10

Abstract RU 2326596 C1

FIELD: medicine; medical radiology.

SUBSTANCE: method implies that patient is given with intravenous injection of Ts-99m-ceretec followed by cortical perfusion detection within anterior, centre, posterior frontal lobes, parietal, parietotemporal, temporooccipital, temporal lobes of both cerebral hemispheres and within cerebellum by method of single-photon emission computed tomography. Relative cortical perfusion is calculated for above-listed areas of brain with respect to cerebellum as reference area. In case of combined reducing values of relative cortical perfusion lower 90% within all frontal parts and temporal lobes of both cerebral hemispheres patient is considered to suffer from cerebrovascular diseases. If relative cortical perfusion rates within prefrontal lobes are higher of those within centre- and postfrontal lobes, and within temporal lobe relative cortical perfusion rate is more or equal to 90% in both cerebral hemispheres, neurologic patient is considered to suffer from extrapyramidal diseases of central nervous system.

EFFECT: allows increasing of neurologic pathology diagnostics accuracy.
