FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to paronites and various gaskets made thereof and intended for operation with sealing assemblies with flat sealing surfaces when paronites is subjected to thermal and mechanical loads. Paronites (gasket comprising it) consists of several layers of polymer composite material comprising matrix from rubber vulcanisate. The latter accommodates particles and/or fibers of filler. Paronites surface layer material features friction coefficient lower than that of the other layers.
EFFECT: increased sealing capacity.
