METHOD OF PREDICTING RISK OF ATOPIC DERMATITIS DEVELOPMENT IN NEWBORNS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B10/00 A61B5/107

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatrics and allergology. Determined are: anthropometric data: mother's height, mother's weight, baby's weight at birth; anamnestic data: atopic family anamnesis, mother's social position, father's social position, living in the family of more than two people, living of mother in town during pregnancy; and baby's sex. In case of: positive atopic family anamnesis 2 points are given; mother's height lower than 160 cm - 1 point; mother's weight more than 75 kg - 1 point; baby's weight at birth less than 2900 grams - 2 points; mother's social position - office worker - 2 points; father's social position - office worker - 2 points; more than 2 people living in the family - 1 point; living of mother in town during pregnancy - 1 point; as well as baby's sex is male 1 point is given. Obtained points are summed up, thus determining index of risk of atopic dermatitis development (IR AD). If IR AD is less than 5 points low risk of atopic dermatitis development is predicted, if IRAD value equals or is greater than 5 points - high risk of atopic dermatitis development is predicted.

EFFECT: method allows to detect risk of development of allergic diseases in newborns in due time and take early preventive measures aimed at prevention of their development.
