FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pediatrics, and can be used for diagnosing bronchial asthma (BA) in children with atopic dermatitis. A child is examined, its age and heredity factors are determined. Additionally, severity of BA (A1) is determined; allergic anamnesis (A2) by maternal and / or paternal lines and alleles (A3) are examined as a heredity factors according to polymorphous version A-8202G of MMP9 gene. In the case of a mild course of BA, the value A1 is assigned a numerical value "1", in case of a moderate BA – a numerical value "2", in case of severe BA, the value A1 is assigned a numerical value "3". For allergic anamnesis, non-aggravated by maternal and paternal lines, value A2 is assigned a numerical value "0", in allergic anamnesis burdened by maternal line – numerical value "1", in allergic anamnesis burdened by paternal line – numerical value "2", in case of allergic anamnesis burdened by maternal and paternal lines, value A2 is assigned a numerical value "3". If there is an allele -8202G on the polymorphous version A-8202G of the MMP9 gene, the value A3 is assigned a numerical value equal to "1", in its absence – a numerical value equal to "0". Values of linear-discriminant functions F1 and F2 are calculated by formulas F1=-9.45+2.90×A1+1.44×A2+2.30×A3+1.14×A4; F2=-16.99+4.30×A1+2.10×A2+3.50×A3+1.43×A4, where A4 is the age of the examined child, full years old. If condition F1<F2 is satisfied, the absence of bronchial asthma control in a child with atopic dermatitis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides more reliable diagnosis of bronchial asthma control in children with atopic dermatitis by using the method statistically reliable parameters characterizing the absence of BA control in children with atopic dermatitis, and development of statistically reliable criterion of diagnostics – comparison of linear-discriminant functions F1 and F2.
