FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly to freight and passenger car brakes. Proposed drive comprises pneumatic cylinder and H-like tongs type grab. Drive and driven levers of said H-like tongs type grab are pivoted together by transverse tie. Drive lever drive arm end is pivoted to pneumatic cylinder rod. Drive lever drive arm end is pivoted to pneumatic cylinder rod. Driven arms ob both levers have identical length. Note that the end of every said arm is furnished with pivot joint for connection to braking tie of car bogie arranged on the same side of pneumatic cylinder with corresponding arm. Drive arms of drive and driven levers of H-like tongs type grab have different length. Said tongs type grab features the following ratio: where α, c are the length of drive and drive lever drive arms, respectively; b is the length of lever drive arms; n is the car weight load onto bogie coupled with driven lever by braking tie vs load on bogie coupled via braking tie with car brake drive lever.
EFFECT: higher-efficiency brakes.
