FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for measuring temperature using a contact method simultaneously in a group of locations on which the measuring cord of the thermometric cable can be laid. There are temperature sensors in the measuring cord. The cable has an electronic part made in form of an electronic unit having a connector for electrically connecting the cable to an external display device through a digital bus. Transmission over the digital bus is enabled by a microcontroller (or FPLD) in the electronic unit. The transmission format enables connection of a group of cables to the common digital bus. There are different versions of circuits using galvanic isolation, different synchronous and asynchronous data transfer protocols, different types of temperature sensors, as well as versions of the design of the measuring cord. The electronic unit has PROM in which calibration coefficients are recorded, from which temperature dependence of the thermal signal can be reconstructed, e.g. volt-temperature characteristic for each sensor of the cable, which is necessary for calculating measurement results in degrees. The said device implements the corresponding remote temperature measurement method.

EFFECT: increased measurement accuracy, increased compactness and simple manufacture and use.
