FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reinforcing fibre glass containing the following components in wt %: SiO2 62-63, Al2O310-16, CaO 6-23%, MgO 1 - 3, Na2O+K2O+Li2O 0-2, TiO2 0-1, B2O3 0.1 - less than 1.8, Li2O 0-0.5, ZnO 0-0.5, MnO 0-1, F 0-0.5. These fibres have better mechanical strength properties, resistance to an acidic medium and high temperature resistance, and their composition is not expensive. The invention also pertains to a method of making the said fibres and a composition for making the said fibres.
EFFECT: increased high temperature and acidic medium resistance of the fibre, as well as reduction of harmful emissions into the environment.
