FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: fibres formed from the composition are especially suitable for usage in areas, where high strength and small weight are required, such as manufacturing of wind mill blades, and in areas, where high strength and module are required, where composites should have strength and rigidity. Glass composition contains 60.5 - 70.5 wt % SiO2, 10 - 24.5 wt % Al2O3, 6 - 20 wt % oxides of alkali-earth metals, in which 4 - 14% is CaO, and may include small quantities of alkaline metal oxides 0-3 wt %.

EFFECT: increased strength and rigidity of fibres.
