FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: centrifugal fan includes housing with inlet connection pipe, impeller installed in the housing; delivery area of impeller is interconnected to its inlet by means of blade-free guide vane in the form of inlet header installed at the impeller inlet, and shell having inner diametre which is more than inner diametre of inlet header and installed between inlet header and inlet connection pipe with possibility of axial movement. At that, header of shell is perforated and has annular channels in the form of Archimedean spiral with perforation area enlarging towards the inlet of impeller, and inside header and shell of guide vane there installed is cylindrical connection pipe creating Coanda effect.
EFFECT: enlarging range of application of fan, decreasing energy losses to throttling due to impact of flows in mixing zone.
