FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of checking presence of residual gas in a liquid stream involves generation of electrical pulses, conversion of the electric pulses into mechanical pulses using a piezoelectric element with their subsequent emission into the liquid containing residual gas, reflection of damped mechanical pulses onto the piezoelectric element and their conversion into electric pulses from the damping level of which presence of residual gas in the liquid stream is determined. Simultaneously, mechanical pulses are emitted into the analysed liquid and into the liquid of a sampling apparatus. Pulse parametres are measured in real time and certainty of properties of the analysed liquid and liquid of the sampling apparatus is assessed from the difference in parametres of these pulses. The state of the liquid of the sampling apparatus is brought to standard conditions while emitting pulses into that liquid. Threshold parametres of the pulses for residual gas content in the liquid are recorded and averaged parametres of pulses over the measurement time are compared with threshold parametres of pulses, from the difference of which the amount of residual gas in the liquid is determined in measurement conditions relative the amount of gas in the liquid measured under standard conditions.
EFFECT: increased reliability of results of checking presence of gas in a liquid stream.
