FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for inspecting objects inside moving units has the following: a conveyor for moving the units with objects inside on a rectilinear path which passes through the inspection area inside the apparatus. On the section on which the said units are moved, the conveyor has an essentially plane configuration, a supporting frame, several inspection devices which form an image and which are on the supporting frame and can generate radiation beams directed on the said units when they are moved through the conveyor on the said path and pass through the inspection area inside the apparatus, with possibility of inspecting the said units and generating output signals after inspection, and a processing and analysis module which can receive the said output signals from the several inspection devices and analyse the output signals in order to identify the said objects inside the moving units. The conveyor is not physically linked to the supporting frame and is made with possibility of being collapsed when it is not moving the said units on the said path into a non-planar configuration which has shorter length than the plane configuration.
EFFECT: reduced vibration when inspecting objects, possibility of reducing dimensions of the apparatus in order to make easy its transportation.
