FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to versions of a device and a method of producing ammonia from solid carbamide particles. The device has apparatus for batching particles, a particle accelerator, a channel for particles and an ammonia reactor with separation or a zone for ejection of carbamide particles and a particle baffle plate at the end of the flight distance, as well as a device for evaporating carbamide and a hydrolysis catalyst. Carbamide particles are extracted through the apparatus for batching particles from a storage container in controlled mass/amount and transported to the particle accelerator. The particles are accelerated by the internal mechanical mechanism of the accelerator to high speed and then ejected into the channel for particles and through it to the ammonia reactor, where they are collided at the end of the flight distance on the particle baffle plate and crushed to several fragments, which are directly converted through the carbamide evaporation device into a gas mixture containing ammonia (NH3) and isocyanate acid (HNCO), which, together with water vapour, is passed through the hydrolysis catalyst. The isocyanate acid is converted to ammonia and carbon dioxide.
EFFECT: device and method enable to do without batching carbamide particles using compressed air.
