SUBSTANCE: problems of cast item cooling in pressure casting plants can include local dents and out-of-round defects in products. Invention claims method, casting aggregate and computer-read product intended for cooling process after cast item (2) retrieval from die (8, 9). Claimed cooling method includes cooling rate unification during item cooling after item retrieval from die (8, 9) so as the cast item (2) reaches preset output temperature at the time moment basically matching time moment when the cast item (2) exits cooling process after retrieval from die (8, 9). Computer-read product for controller (30) use features computer-read carrier activating control commands performed by controller. At least one control command includes control commands performed by controller (30) and activating (i) command issue to device (12) used after die (8, 9) to position cast item (2) when the item is just cast in die halves (8, 9), and (ii) command issue for cast item (2) cooling. After the item is retrieved from die (8, 9), cooling rate is unified during item cooling so that the cast item reaches set output temperature at the time moment basically matching time moment of cast item (2) cooling process ceasing after the item is retrieved from die (8, 9).

EFFECT: elimination of local dents and out-of-round defects in long period of casting cycle.
