FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: during operation of combined power plant of vehicle, actual charge of buffer power accumulator (BPA) is controlled. Control time is divided into time intervals. Mean square and mean values of BPA charge variation values are determined for the last completed interval. If tripled mean square value of BPA charge variation process in the last completed interval is smaller than 50% of BPA complete charge, then, in current interval, charge mean value is shifted by acting on primary power source adjusting member towards the value that is characterised by the difference in full charge and tripled mean square BPA charge variation value. If tripled mean square value exceeds 50% of full charge, then charge mean value is shifted towards that equal to tripled mean square value.

EFFECT: reduced probability of BPA discharge and minimised outage of power plant with BPA completely charged.
