FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: ignition system for internal combustion engines (ICE IS) relates to devices intended for ignition of fuel-air mixture in required time in cylinders or in combustion chamber of internal combustion engine. Present invention differs from ICE IS used by fact that for generation of pulse high-voltage current in ICE IS proposed is variable capacitor (VC), reduced capacity of which mechanically after charging its electrodes some initial charge excitation increases by several orders of voltage on VC electrodes and therefore converts mechanical energy of ICE (for example, energy of reciprocal movement of the piston or crankshaft) into electric energy of high-voltage discharge.
EFFECT: production of spark ignition high power, which can considerably exceed power used at present analogues, value of which does not depend on operating mode and number of revolutions of internal combustion engine.
