FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to devices intended for external and noncontact positioning of reference points in a connection element introduced in the bone structure. The connection element contains a radioactive source mounted in an open-end socket, and located in the preset reference point. When using the connection element, the open-end hole comprises a retainer screw used to fix the connection element within the bone structure of a human or animal's body. Besides the connection element, system for positioning of at least one preset reference point in the connection element comprises a detector with a radiation measurement instrument adjoining the connection element, and a radioactive source position indicator referring to the measured radiation. Inside of the socket of the connection element, there is a capsule which contains a cylindrical capsule dimensioned to fit in the socket, and an emitting active material; the capsule is made of a material biocompatible and/or biodegradable in a human or animal's body.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for three-dimensional positioning of the reference point by a minimally invasive method.
