FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purification of waste water and can be used for extracting different impurities, e.g. oil products from waste water. The method involves floatation of the liquid being purified in a sealed tank inside of which pressure of the vapour-air mixture above the surface of the liquid is kept below atmospheric pressure. In the bottom part of the tank, the liquid is heated temperature close to saturation point in the vapour-air space of the tank. The floatation zone of the tank is divided into vertical channels to the walls of which heat is supplied in an amount sufficient for formation of a vapour phase in the section of the channels.
EFFECT: more intense and faster floatation; 99,2% degree of purity of water is achieved.
