FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine consists of housing, cylinder head, cylinder liner and separate water jacket. Note here that said water jacket is arranged between cylinder liner and engine housing and cylinder liner rests on said water jacket. Cylinder liner outer shoulder rests on water jacket inner ledge to rule out direct contact between cylinder liner and engine housing. There is cooling channel between water jacket and cylinder liner arranged so that cylinder liner outer surface is subjected to cooling agent nearby top piston ring. Liner top seal is arranged above cooling channel and liner bottom seal is arranged between cylinder liner and engine housing below cooling channel. Opening for coolant is arranged directly between cylinder head and water jacket and is provided with seal, other than any other seal between water jacket and cylinder head.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of heat rejection, reduced wear of liner and ruling out of coolant leakage.
