FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: restored output channel is used, which is restored by multi-channel restoration unit, using at least one channel of step-down mixing, produced by means of step-down mixing of multiple initial channels and using parametric representation including additional information related to time detailed structure of initial channel, may be generated using generator (32) to form component (42) of direct signal and component (44) of diffuse signal on the basis of channel (38) of step-down mixing. Only component (42) of direct signal is modified (34) so that time (40) thin structure of restored output channel (50) on the basis of unitor (36) of modified component (46) of direct signal and component (44) of diffuse signal is matched with desirable time thin structure specified by means of additional information related to transmitted time thin structure.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of restoration of multi-channel audio channel.
