FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to coding and decoding of multi-channel sound signals with application of spatial parametres and, in particular to improved principles for generation and application of decorrelated signals. Multi-channel signal comprising at least three channels may be reconstructed so that reconstructed channels are at least partially decorrelated from each other, with application of signal exposed to downmix, produced from initial multi-channel signal, and set of decorrelated signals represented by decorrelator, which extracts set of decorrelated signals from signal of downmix, at the same time decorrelated signals within the limits of decorrelated signal set are mostly orthogonal to each other, i.e. ratio of orthogonality between pairs of channels is satisfied within the limits of range of orthogonality permissible values.

EFFECT: provision of efficient generation of one or more orthogonal signals along with preservation of pulse properties and perceived quality of sounding.
