TECHNIQUE FOR AUTOGRAFTING OF ANTERIOR KNEE JOINT AFTER REPLACEMENT ARTHROPLASTY Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B17/56

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics. It involves excision of the affected tissues of the knee joint and formation of a flap-covered tendomuscular autograft. Tendons of the lateral and medial portions of the rectus muscle of thigh are longitudinally dissected. Lateral and medial autografts are formed. The autografts are mobilised and turned around in a distal direction. Then internal surfaces of the autografts and the portions of the lateral and medial muscles are sutured together. The created flap-covered tendomuscular autograft is fixed on an anterior surface of the shin bone. The tendon of the lateral and medial portions of the rectus muscle of thigh is dissected by at least 120 mm. In a considerable zone of defect, muscular tissue portions are mobilised at least 50-60 mm.

EFFECT: technique provides restoration of a zone of defect of the anterior knee joint, and recovers bearing and movement function of the knee joint, reduces postoperative complications.
