FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing water with low content of deuterium. Initially, water is cooled at a rate of less than 1 °C per hour to 0 °C, obtaining a piece of ice. After cooling, the ice block is washed. Non-frozen part of water is extracted from inner volume of ice block by means of ice block breaking. Remaining part of the ice block is melted.
EFFECT: reduced amount of deuterium impurities in water.
