FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: when realising the method, a swivelling device is turned using an electric drive in the forward direction and a sensor is used to measure the resultant torque of the swivelling device in the forward direction M1(φ). The swivelling device is then turned in the reverse direction and the resultant torque in the reverse direction M2(φ) is measured, after which the resistive torque of the swivelling device Mc(φ) is determined using a formula.

EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy.
