SUBSTANCE: device and method of transmitting information for multimedia broadcast and multicast service (MBMS) assist a mobile communication device during reception of a specific MBMS without any difficulties when the said device is moving from one zone to another. By providing information on the status of MBMS to a controller in the zone from which the device moved, the said controller can either set up an additional communication channel in order to provide the MBMS or initiate handover of the device to the controller in the zone to which the device moved.
EFFECT: support for mobility of a terminal and provision for the said service.
