FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of gas centrifuge to separate isotopic and gas mixes, primarily, for separation of gases with low molecular weight. Centrifuge comprises housing, cylindrical rotor with face covers, gas distributor manifold with bleed tubes, molecular pump consisting of axial seal and face seal made up of rotor top cover and fixed disk with spiral grooves secured on centrifuge housing top cover. Proposed invention relates in that said face seal is arranged inside the rotor. Note here that fixed disk with spiral grooves is secured on gas distributor manifold, arranged between rotor top cover and rotor top bleed tube and incorporates additional cylindrical sleeve rigidly attached to disk flat surface and furnished with spiral grooves facing rotor inner surface. Note also that rotary flat disk is arranged between fixed disk, on the side of its spiral grooves, and rotor top bleed tube, its outer flange being secured on rotor inner wall surface.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption, efficiency 1,5-times higher compared with known design.
