FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas centrifuge intended for separating isotope and gas mixes, primarily, for separation of gases with low molecular weight. Proposed gas centrifuge comprises tight housing accommodating vertical cylindrical rotor with top and bottom face covers, gas distribution manifold with take-off tubes, molecular pump and rotor top cover. Molecular pump consists of axial seal and face seal comprising fixed disc with helical flutes. Face seal is arranged inside rotor on aforesaid gas distribution manifold. Aforesaid disc with helical flutes on one side and flat surface on opposite side is arranged between rotor top cover and its top take-off pipe and furnished with, at least, one vertical web. The latter is mounted on fixed disc flat surface and extends from gas distribution manifold to rotor periphery. Rotary flat disc with outer collar attached to rotor wall inner surface is arranged between fixed disc, on the side of helical flutes, and rotor top take-off tube.
EFFECT: reduced pressure between rotor and housing, power consumption and higher efficiency.
