FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing propylene and aromatic hydrocarbons (two versions), one of which involves: (1) a step for producing propylene, where hydrocarbon material which contains 50 wt % or more of at least one of C4-12-olefins in a reactor for producing propylene are brought into contact with a moulded catalyst A, which contains a first zeolite, in the conditions (i)-(iv) given below in order to carry out catalytic conversion of at least one of the C4-12-olefins to obtain a reaction mixture which contains propylene; the reaction mixture is divided into a fraction C mainly containing hydrogen and C1-3-hydrocarbons and a fraction D mainly containing at least one of the C4+-hydrocarbons, and propylene is extracted from the fraction C: (i) with a zeolite having average pore diametre of 5-6.5 Å; (ii) having 0.02 mmol or less protons per gram of zeolite, measured through liquid-phase ion exchange/titration of the filtrate; (iii) containing at least one metal selected from a group consisting of Group IB metals; and (iv) having molar ratio SiO2/Al2O3 at least equal to 800 but not greater than 2000; and (2) a step for obtaining aromatic hydrocarbons in which the raw material, which completely or partially contains a fraction D or a portion of it, is brought into contact in a reactor for producing aromatic hydrocarbons with a moulded catalyst B which contains a second zeolite, under the conditions (v)-(vii) given below, in a gas phase at temperature of 650°C or below: (v) with zeolite having average pore diametre of 5-6.5 Å; (vi) with initial particle diametre in between 0.02 and 0.25 mcm; and (vii) containing at least one metal element selected from a group consisting of Group IB metal elements.

EFFECT: use of the method enables to obtain propylene and aromatic hydrocarbons from hydrocarbon material which contains C4-12-olefins, in which the structure of two output components can be varied using a simple technique.
