FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: cross flow pump consists of housing with impeller arranged therein, intake opening and discharge branch pipe separated by adjacent wall furnished with shutter grid fitted nearby impeller. Discharge branch pipe accommodates wall dividing it into top and bottom outlet channels. Note here that said separation wall stays 0.9…1.2 D₂ from impeller axis and has transverse opening accommodating two adjusting flaps fitted on one axle located 0.3…0.4 D₂ from separation wall edge. Free ends of said flaps are directed opposite the impeller.

EFFECT: reduced noise, independent adjustment of airflows with uniform fields of speeds.
