FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves dissolving the analysed sample in a mixture of hydrochloric and nitric acid, extraction of macro-amounts of molybdenum using selective extraction agents and subsequent determination of impurity elements remaining in the aqueous phase, where macro-amounts of molybdenum are extracted from 1-3 M solutions of hydrochloric acid. The extraction agent used is a solution of 5-alylthio-8-oxyquinoline in an organic polar solvent in molar ratio of 5-alylthio-8-oxyquinoline to molybdenum in the initial organic and aqueous phases equal to 2.1-2.3:1.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity of analysis.
