FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: document size detector sets the quantity of light emitted by a light source in order to detect the size of a document in accordance with quantity of exciting light detected by a CCD. The device has light source. By assigning the light source to emit a given quantity of light, the device detects the size of the document lying on a table.
EFFECT: avoiding inaccurate detection of the size of a document and reduced effect of glaring bright light on the user when detecting the size of a document lying on a table.
