FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of processing carnallite dust from fluidised bed furnace cyclones. Proposed method comprises loading molten electrolyte and molten magnesium chloride in to a tank, their ratio making 1:(1.1-1.4). Then carnallite dust is loaded onto the surface of produced molten mix, mass ratio between loaded carnallite dust and molten mix of waste electrolyte and magnesium chloride making 1:(0.8-1.2) at 700-720 °C, and mixed up. Note here that mixing of carnallite dust in said molten mix is made by compressed air. Then settling is made to produce stock for electrolytic magnesium and chlorine extraction.
EFFECT: reduced electric power consumption, optimum utilisation of wastes.
