SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing materials which contain organic substances and can be used in thermal decomposition of wood processing wastes, plant growing products, food industry wastes, animal and poultry farming wastes. The method for thermal processing materials which contain organic substances into gaseous and liquid fuel involves first heating in a drying chamber, which is a storage bin, with a drying agent at 160-200°C which is obtained by mixing furnace gases passing through the jacket of a pyrolysis chamber, with air and then without air in a pyrolysis chamber with conversion of the pyrolysis products to carbon and gaseous fuel-vapour-gas mixture with subsequent condensation of a portion of the vapour-gas mixture to liquid fuel, where a portion of uncondensed vapour-gas mixture after pre-heating to 450-520°C is fed into the pyrolysis chamber in an amount which provides for dwell time of the pyrolysis products in the pyrolysis chamber of not more than 2 seconds and excess pressure in the pyrolysis chamber between 500 and 1000 Pa.

EFFECT: more efficient processing of material which contains organic substances.
