SUBSTANCE: invention refers to indoor air disinfection. An air disinfection set comprises a body (1) wherein there are integrated a power and control unit accommodating a reservoir capacitor (2), a high-voltage DC power supply (3), an initiation pulse generator (4), a ferrite-core pulse transformer (5) and a program control unit (6), and a body-mounted ultraviolet source in the form of a flash gas-discharge lamp (7). The lamp is arranged in a casing (9) and convectively air-cooled and together with the reservoir capacitor forms a discharge circuit connected with the initiation pulse generator through the ferrite-core pulse transformer. The upper and lower parts of the casing comprise high-level (11) and low-level (10) apertures respectively, with the following relation of parametres: where h is a distance between the high-level and low-level apertures, m; Shigh is a total area of the high-level apertures, m2; Slow is a total area of the low-level apertures, m2; A=(2÷30)·1013 J2/m5s2 is a power mismatch factor; C is a value of the reservoir capacitor, F; Uo is charge voltage of the reservoir capacitor, V; F is pulse repetition frequency of the initiation pulse generator, Hz.

EFFECT: invention allows simplifying set design and providing reliable operation of the flash gas-discharge lamp, and also improving disinfection degree with low ozone production in a processed space.
