FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention serves to separate impurities from gases and fluids. Proposed apparatus comprises closed vessel accommodating partition dividing it into first and second separation stages, inlet and outlet holes and cylindrical filtration element. Said filtration element comprises central bore-channel running between opposite ends of filtration element. Note here that said central bore is surrounded by filtration material representing coal blocks which, in its turn, is surrounded by protective filtration material with wavy-grained pores. The latter is made up of sheets of nonwoven material consisting of the mix of base fiber and binder material to be compacted to form preset-porosity sheet. Said protective filtration material represents a tube consisting of multiple coiled sheets. Note here that each sheet is heated and compacted to bind base fibers into porous filtration material.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of filtration.
