SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Proposed air tire comprises tread that has: sections of contact sites formed and segmented by multiple circular grooves running along tire circumference, multiple grooves running along tire width and slit-like drain grooves formed in contact zone of said contact sites. Besides air tire comprises: recessed grooves (recessed sites on groove bottom side) formed on tire side surfaces of contact sites, most remote from the tire width center, for them to fair with grooves running along tire width, and recesses/ledges formed on bottom surfaces of recesses sections for their recesses/ledges to be located alternating and continuously in lineat manner.

EFFECT: increased adhesion with road surface.
