FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for testing a sample of granular sorbents consists of a main graduated vessel and extra graduated vessels. The main graduated vessel for contact of the sorbent sample and a sample of contacting material is made in form of an inverted transparent bottle with a stopper and a cut-off bottom. A removable mesh partition in form of a support net is put in the neck of the bottle. A tap and a detachable cone-shaped discharge cup with an opening for uniform discharge of contacting material from the vessel are also put on the stopper of the bottle. There is a millimetre scale on the side surface of the vessel. A tripod and weighing machines are used to weigh the main graduated vessel, the extra graduated vessels and the graduated vessel.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of testing samples of granular sorbents and broader functional capabilities of studying sorption processes with different materials during their dynamic flow for application in different conditions for contact of materials, primarily with oil and its products during extraction, storage, transportation and processing.
