FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in the application there is described control system of operation of the converter containing many electronic valves (4) which, during operation of converter (3, 4), are switched on and off for many times in order to convert current, namely to convert direct current to alternating current and/or vice versa. System includes many control units (3) of valves, each of which is made so that it can control the switching process of one of electronic valves (4). Besides system includes converter control device connected to each of many control units (3) of valves and provided with possibility of controlling the operation of many control units (3) of valves, and thus, converter operation. At least one of control units (3) of valves includes metre (14, 15, 16) of voltage, which is capable of measuring the voltage on valve (4) controlled from this control unit (3) of valve. Voltage metre (14, 15, 16) is connected to converter control device by means of conversion device (13) of signals and signal line.

EFFECT: providing high reliability of measurements.
