SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, current (valve IV current), flowing through electronic valve with electrically insulated control electrode (gate G) is measured. The above electronic valve is capable of controlling valve (4) switching, particularly bipolar transistor with insulated gate. When valve is completely open, the process of valve closing starts (closure) (moment t1). Certain amount of charge (valve charge), which is carried by the gate is removed. The amount of charge removed from the gate or other quantitative parametre (duration of interval [t1; t2]) which depends on the measured amount of charge is defined. Valve current (IV) is defined depending on the measured amount of charge or other quantitative parametre.
EFFECT: improved reliability and response.
