FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of 2,3,4,5-tetraalkylmagnesacyclopenta-2,4-dienes of formula (I) . The method is realised by reacting disubstituted acetylenes R-≡-R, (where R=C2H5, H-C3H7, H-C4H9) with an organomagnesium compound in the presence of zirconocene dichloride Cp2ZrCl2. The organomagnesium compound used is diethylmagnesium (C2H5)2Mg. The reaction takes place in molar ratio R-≡-R:(C2H5)2Mg:Cp2ZrCl2 equal to 10:(11-15):(0.3-0.4) in an argon atmosphere at atmospheric pressure in ether solvents (diethyl, dipropyl and di-iso-propyl ether) for 3-4 hours.
EFFECT: invention shortens the reaction time and increases output of the end product.
