FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 2,3,4,5-tetraalkylmagnesacyclopenta-2,4-dienes (I) of formula: (1), where R=C2H5, n-C3H7, n-C4H9, characterised by that reaction of 2,3,4,5-tetraalkylmagnesacyclopenta-2,4-dienes ( , where R=C2H5, n-C3H7, n-C4H9) with ethylene in the presence of zirconocene dichloride Cp2ZrCl2 takes place under ethylene excess pressure of 0.5-1.0 MPa, in molar ratio 2,3,4,5-tetraalkylmagnesacyclopenta-2,4-diene: Cp2ZrCl2=10:(0.3-0.6), in a mixture of diethyl ether-tetrahydrofuran or diethyl ether-dimethyl ether solvents, taken in volume ratio of 5:1, at temperature or approximately 20°C for 6-8 hours.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain the desired compounds with high selectivity.
