FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of 3,4-dialkylmagnesacyclopentanes of general formula (I) . The method involves reaction of organomagnesium compounds (where R=H-C3H7, H-C4H9, n-C6H13) with catalytic amounts of zirconocene dichloride Cp2ZrCl2. The cocatalyst used is disubstituted acetylene of formula (where R1=C2H5, n-C3H7) and the reaction is carried out in molar ratio Cp2ZrCl2 : equal to 10:(0.2-0.5):(0.5-1.0), in an argon atmosphere at atmospheric pressure of ether solvents fro 3-4 hours.
EFFECT: shorter reaction time, high output and selectivity of the end product.
