SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to biotechnology. The invention seeks to create a set for detecting a legionellosis agent in biological material and environmental medium, with possibility of its use in a polymerase chain reaction with electrophoretic and hybridisation-fluorescent reading of results. The set for detecting a L. pneumophila agent contains species-specific primers Lp1 - 5'-GCTTGGTGCTGTGAAAGGTA-3', Lp2 - 5'-CCTCCAATAAAGGAGATGCAA-3' and probe Lp-3 - 5'-ROX-TCACCGTACGCACATCCGCA-BHQ2-3'. The DNA target for specific amplification of L. pneumophila is a DNA fragment of the fisZ gene lying in the range from 397 to 758 of the nucleotide complete locus sequence.

EFFECT: invention enables fast and highly specific detection of L pneumophila of 1-14 serogroups in clinical samples and environmental medium samples.
