FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: method involves development of horizontal layers along the strike with the help of a mechanised facility as accompanied by extraction of coal from interlayer depth in accordance with the drill and blast tunneling method; for the purposes one uses long wells bored from the lower horizontal layer to the upper horizontal layer gains. The ceiling is supported by temporary pillars left between the gains. Then one discharges coal from the interlayer depth through hatches onto the goaf conveyor of the lower horizontal layer mechanised facility.

EFFECT: invention improves conditions of miners labour, enables enhanced labour productivity and safety, reduction of labour intensity, provides for development of thick strata with minimum losses.
