FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: ICE exhaust duct accommodates catalyst 14 intended for cleaning exhaust gases of NOx oxides and catalyst 12 producing intermediate product and intended for accumulating NOx contained in exhaust gases. Catalyst 12 is arranged downstream of catalyst 14. Finely-dispersed fuel is forced in catalyst 12 that produces intermediate product. Intermediate products 33 comprising molecules formed from one NOx molecule and hydrocarbon molecules in more than equivalent proportion to NOx molecule, are produced from NOx entrapped in catalyst 12 that produces intermediate product, or from NOx contained in exhaust gas and fed fuel.

EFFECT: easier cleaning of HC and NOx.
