FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: exhaust duct of ICE accommodates front and rear catalytic neutralisers arranged along the waste gas flow. Front and rear neutralisers comprise catalyst to accumulate NOx contained in waste gas at depleted composition of work mix of incoming exhaust gas and to release accumulated NOx at enriched or stoichiometric composition of work mix of incoming exhaust gas. To kill SOx in front neutraliser, its temperature is increased to of SOx release and composition of exhaust gas work mix coming in said front neutraliser is enriched. To kill SOx in rear neutraliser, its temperature is increased to of SOx release and composition of exhaust gas work mix coming in said rear neutralizer is depleted. Note here that frequency of killing SOx in rear neutraliser exceeds that in front neutraliser.
EFFECT: possibility to efficiently recover absorbing capacity of SOx killer.
